The Court of Appeals is the first level of
appellate review for cases after they leave the
trial courts. It is my firm belief that a judge
at this level needs to have experience
representing the interests of parties in trial
courts. There is no substitute for the
responsibility and privilege of representing a
wide variety of people and issues.

I have tried many cases before both the District
and Circuit trial courts all over the
Commonwealth of Kentucky. I have represented
clients before the Court of Appeals, the
position for which I am running.
I put myself through both nursing school and law
school and I bring a dedicated work ethic to all
that I do. In addition to my legal experience,
my career in nursing provided me the opportunity
to serve our nations’ veterans as a nurse at the
Veterans’ Administration Medical Center. That
life experience taught me first hand the value
of personal sacrifice.
In addition to my qualifications and experience
representing numerous clients before the
Kentucky trial courts, I am a wife and mother,
juggling the day to day duties that these
important roles call upon me to perform.
In my opinion, the role and duty of a judge is
to put all bias aside and decide each case
before them based upon the law as applied to
that particular set of facts and circumstances.
Judges are not legislators. They apply and
interpret existing law.
I am ready for this new challenge in my life,
and am both humbled and excited at the
opportunity to serve the citizens of the
Commonwealth.
